Black & Chrome 3 Panel Folding Firescreen with Decorative Scrollwork – Metal Fireplace Fire Guard 65x98x23cm

Bring decorative detail and contrasting metallic character to your hearth with our Black & Chrome 3 Panel Folding Firescreen with Decorative Scrollwork. Measuring H65 × W98 × D23cm, this substantial metal fireplace screen combines fine black mesh, ornate scrollwork and silver-coloured chrome detailing with a practical three-panel design suited to both traditional and contemporary interiors.

A wide central panel is flanked by two narrower hinged side panels that angle around the hearth when positioned. The predominantly black finish makes the screen easy to coordinate with existing fireside accessories, while the contrasting chrome top catches the surrounding light and pairs particularly well with chrome, silver and pewter finishes.

3 Panel Folding Firescreen

The firescreen comprises one large central section and two narrower hinged side panels. Angling the side panels creates the three-sided configuration shown in the product photography and gives the screen its H65 × W98 × D23cm positioned dimensions.

When the firescreen is not required, the hinged sides can be folded inwards to create a more compact profile for storage. This is particularly useful if you prefer to put your fireside accessories away outside the colder months.

Black Mesh with Decorative Scrollwork

Fine black metal mesh extends across all three panels, allowing the fireplace and glow of the fire to remain visible through the screen. Above it, sweeping black scrollwork adds decorative character across the central section and continues onto the narrower side panels.

A heart-shaped motif sits at the centre of the design, surrounded by symmetrical curves and scrolling metalwork. These traditional details give the screen a more decorative appearance than a plain mesh design, while the restrained black finish keeps it versatile enough for a wide range of interiors.

Contrasting Chrome Top Detail

Silver-coloured chrome scrollwork runs across the top of the central panel, creating a distinctive contrast against the black frame and mesh below. Its curved design echoes the black scrollwork beneath it and introduces a brighter metallic accent without dominating the firescreen.

The mixed-metal design also gives you flexibility when choosing coordinating accessories. Pair it with black companion sets and log storage for a darker look, or introduce chrome, silver and antique pewter pieces to complement the contrasting top detail.

Substantial Metal Construction

Made from metal and weighing approximately 5.33kg, the firescreen has a substantial construction designed to create a noticeable presence at the hearth. A structured metal frame surrounds the fine mesh, while hinged connections allow the two side sections to move for positioning and storage.

98cm Wide Fireplace Screen

At 98cm wide and 65cm high, this is a generously proportioned firescreen, so checking your available space before ordering is important. The 23cm depth relates to the screen positioned with its hinged side panels angled, rather than laid completely flat.

Fireplaces and hearths vary considerably in size and configuration, so measure the intended position rather than relying on product photography alone. Remember to allow space for any companion set, coal bucket, log storage or other accessories you plan to position nearby.

Will This Firescreen Fit My Fireplace?

Before ordering, compare the H65 × W98 × D23cm overall dimensions with the space available in front of your fireplace. Pay particular attention to the 98cm width and ensure there is sufficient room for the hinged side panels to be angled when positioned. If your hearth is shared with other fireside accessories, include those in your measurements too.

The firescreen is freestanding rather than permanently fitted to the fireplace, giving you flexibility to position it appropriately for your individual hearth and fold the side panels inwards when storing it.

Style Your Fireside

The combination of black and silver-coloured chrome works particularly well with mixed metallic finishes. Coordinate it with black companion sets, hearth tidy sets or log holders, or introduce chrome, silver and antique pewter accessories for contrast. The neutral metallic palette also complements stone, brick, tiled and painted fireplace surrounds.

Using Your Firescreen

Position the firescreen appropriately in front of your fireplace, with the hinged side panels angled so the screen stands steadily on the hearth. Fireplaces vary in dimensions, configuration and operating requirements, so always use fireside accessories appropriately for your individual fireplace and follow any guidance supplied with the product and your fireplace.
