99% of artificial tree care is dust removal, and you've got a few options here. A soft cloth or anti-static wipe, gently swept over the leaves, branches and trunk, works wonders. An alternative, which is quicker (but go easy), is a blast with a hairdryer: use a low speed and cool temperature setting. Some swear by the soft brush attachment on their vacuum, but if yours is the type to lift your carpet, it's probably not a wise idea. If you really want to go to town, you can tackle small nooks and crevices with a craft brush.

The effort and regularity required to de-dust your faux trees is largely dependent on the the environment it lives in. If the air is humid, or possibly a bit greasy (if near a kitchen), you may find a damp cloth more effective. Just avoid any cleaning products or anything with harsh chemicals.

Otherwise, try to keep your artificial tree away from direct sunlight, as this may lighten colours. It'll likely be fine for a few hours outside in fair weather, but bring it in if it rains, and don't leave or store it outside.
