Platinum Icon T¹ 4x3m Oblong Cantilever Parasol in Manhattan Grey

The Platinum Icon T¹ is a premium and robust cantilever parasol that has been engineered for ease-of-use, is sturdy due to its wind stabiliser and heavy-duty ribs, and provides UPF 50+ (up to 98% UV protection) due to the premium canopy fabric.

The T¹ parasol range has a single tilt system which enables forward and backward movement of the canopy without any movement of the base, and it can be secured at any angle by simply locking it into place with an easy-to-use lever. The parasol can be moved around 360-degrees in a smooth and easy action, guaranteeing shade wherever you desire.

The parasol mechanism is made from durable stainless steel and encased in a strong, powder-coated aluminium housing, which prevents rust and corrosion. The durability and strength of this parasol is further enhanced by its robust, 78x78mm powder-coated aluminium pole, which is finished in anthracite grey.

The tension springs on the ribs keeps the canopy fit tight which has multiple benefits. A taut canopy keeps the parasol stable as it catches less wind, which reduces the risk of the parasol toppling over or flapping around, which can be both annoying and potentially damaging to the parasol itself. It also means the canopy is less susceptible to wear and tear, ensures proper water run-off (no pooling), and looks better: because no one wants a saggy parasol!

The 4x3m rectangular parasol canopy, in manhattan grey, is made from 240g/m² Spuncrylic^® which is a strong, but tactile, breathable fabric that provides a high level of UV protection: UPF 50+. Spuncrylic^® is a solution dyed polyester (the fibres are dyed before fabrication so the colour is through the entire fabric), and has a very high resistance to fading and colour loss from sunlight (colour fastness) and will retain its colour for at least 350 days. Additionally, this fabric is stain-resistant, and has a durable water resistant (DWR) coating to repel water.

To keep your parasol looking great, functioning smoothly, and lasting longer, we recommend covering it when not in use. Recommended cover:

Parasols

• Always follow the assembly instructions for your product closely.
• Check screws and bolts monthly and tighten them if needed.
• Allow a wet parasol to dry in the fully opened position. If a wet parasol has to be closed, open it again as soon as possible and allow it to dry
• When the parasol is not in use always use a protective cover to prevent unnecessary wear caused by the weather. Ensure that the parasol is completely dry before doing so.
• Store the parasol in a cool, dry space.
• To clean the parasol, use lukewarm water, soft detergent and a soft sponge. Use a soft brush to remove surface dirt and dust.
• Use a damp cloth to wipe away any glide marks on the aluminium profiles.
• Parasols should be closed after use and stored away in high winds.
• After closing the parasol, pull out all fabric sections separately and completely between the ribs. Roll up the fabric sections on top of each other and use the band to secure them to the pole.
